Focus and background load during a test

Only the active test area receives keyboard observations. Switching tabs or windows can interrupt event delivery and animation scheduling. This site stops recording on blur or hidden-page changes so interrupted samples are not silently treated as continuous. Keep other applications and the workload comparable between trials. Close software that captures shortcuts if appropriate, but keep accessibility tools you need. A missing system-reserved key sequence is an API limitation, not a failed key. If a trial stops, restart it rather than joining measurements from different focus states.
Measurement limits
A browser observes events exposed by your operating system. One test cannot establish whether a device is faulty. Connection, settings, focus and browser behavior can change the results.
