Browser timing is not hardware polling
The page timestamps delivered events with performance.
The page timestamps delivered events with performance.now. Operating-system processing, browser scheduling, display updates, coalescing and page focus can alter delivery. Counting movement events therefore estimates the browser event stream during this trial. It cannot verify the sensor’s USB polling configuration. Keep the pointer inside the area and move continuously; pauses change the average. Repeat with the same browser and procedure before comparing settings. To verify a manufacturer polling specification, consult supported device software or a suitable hardware measurement method rather than this page alone.
Measurement limits
A browser observes events exposed by your operating system. One test cannot establish whether a device is faulty. Connection, settings, focus and browser behavior can change the results.
